Regnet Responsible AI Policy
How Regnet.ai uses artificial intelligence responsibly
This Responsible AI Policy explains how Regnet.ai uses artificial intelligence in connection with the Regnet platform. It should be read together with the Regnet Terms of Use and Privacy Policy.
Regnet uses AI tools to support the analysis, classification, structuring, and surfacing of regulatory information. These systems are designed to assist research and monitoring workflows while maintaining transparency, human oversight, and responsible data practices.
Regnet aims to develop and deploy AI-enabled features in accordance with principles including transparency, accountability, reliability, and human oversight.
1. Purpose and Scope
This policy outlines the principles guiding the use of AI-enabled features within the Regnet platform.
It is intended to provide transparency about how Regnet uses AI and how users should approach AI-assisted outputs.
2. How AI is Used in the Platform
Regnet may use AI systems to assist with:
- analysing regulatory developments
- classifying and structuring regulatory information
- generating summaries or insights
- improving search and research workflows
- supporting monitoring and compliance-related tasks
AI tools are designed to support research and professional analysis, not replace human judgment.
3. Human Oversight
Regnet seeks to maintain human oversight over the development and operation of AI-enabled features.
AI-assisted outputs should be treated as supporting tools only. Users remain responsible for applying independent judgment and verifying important information against official sources before relying on it.
4. Transparency
Regnet aims to be transparent about the role of AI within the platform.
Where AI-assisted outputs are provided, they should be understood as automated or partially automated analytical tools rather than definitive interpretations of regulatory requirements.
5. Data Sources and Data Use
Regnet primarily works with regulatory, legislative, policy, and related materials sourced from publicly available or otherwise lawfully obtained sources.
Regnet may use platform interaction data to improve AI-enabled features, subject to appropriate safeguards such as the use of aggregated or de-identified data where appropriate.
Regnet does not knowingly use unlawfully obtained data in developing its systems.
6. Responsible Use by Users
Users must use AI-enabled features responsibly and in accordance with the Terms of Use and applicable law.
Users must not:
- rely solely on AI-assisted outputs without appropriate review
- use Regnet outputs to train external AI models or datasets
- reconstruct or replicate Regnet datasets using platform outputs
- develop competing regulatory intelligence systems using Regnet outputs
7. AI System Integrity
Users must not attempt to extract, replicate, benchmark, or systematically analyse AI-assisted outputs in order to:
- reverse engineer the platform's underlying systems
- replicate the analytical capabilities of the platform
- construct competing regulatory intelligence datasets or models
Any attempt to systematically exploit AI-enabled features in a way that undermines the integrity of the platform is prohibited.
8. Reliability and Limitations
AI-assisted outputs may be incomplete, inaccurate, or outdated.
The platform does not provide legal, regulatory, or professional advice. Users must independently verify outputs and seek appropriate professional advice where necessary.
9. Continuous Improvement
Regnet may monitor and review AI-enabled features in order to improve accuracy, reliability, and transparency as the platform evolves.
10. Updates to this Policy
This policy may be updated from time to time as the platform develops and as regulatory expectations surrounding AI governance evolve.
The most current version will always be available on the Regnet platform or website.
